MOTLEY: A heterogeneous, often incongruous mixture of elements. The parti-colored attire of a court jester or Sufi mystic.

FOCUS: A center of interest, activity and energy in which something can be clearly perceived.

LOCUS: A locality, place, center of great activity or intense concentration.
